Funnily enough, I only heard about this Afrobeats songstress for the first time this week. Word on the grapevine is that she was originally signed to a group that was managed by Matthew Knowles ('Yonce's father for those of you that don't know). The group disbanded some several years ago and since then Madam Shay, originally hailing from London, has switched gears and taken a shine to the Afrobeats industry. I'm still not 100% sold on the song, but I think it will grow on me.
